Welcome our Headline Sponsor Rubix VT

Rubix VT is a rapidly growing independent telecommunications provider for businesses that is committed to eliminating unnecessary technical jargon. The business strapline is “Telecoms. Simplified.”

As well as a focus on transparency and plain-English, Brighton-based Rubix VT is dedicated to actively supporting the local community and regional good causes.

An opportunity to support The Sussex Beacon and all the other amazing charities that participate in the Brighton Half Marathon was such an easy decision to make.

As the headline sponsor for the next three years, Rubix VT believes the new partnership provides the perfect opportunity to give back to the local community in supporting runners and their fundraising efforts.

Across Sussex Rubix VT is an active supporter of the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and Chestnut Tree House, which provides care for young people with life-limiting conditions. In the last year, the business donated over £110,000 to local charities.

Rubix VT’s charity projects are making a huge difference to people’s lives. Take local Brighton youngster Loui Legend, who was born with Treacher Collins, a syndrome that affects how facial bones are formed. Loui is facing years of expensive reconstructive surgery which necessitates travelling to the USA. MD Nick Poyner says: “This is a lifelong commitment for Rubix VT. These aren’t projects you pick up and put down and we plan to stand by Loui every step of the way.”

Much of Rubix VT’s charity projects are similarly motivated by a desire to help young people get ahead in life.

Current Charity of the Year for Rubix VT, The Starr Trust, is a local organisation that exists to help young people achieve their goals and encourage independent thinking, a social conscience and self-belief. Founded by Rob Starr in 2008, it’s all about supporting youngsters in fulfilling their dreams, which complements Rubix VT’s objectives totally.

Rubix VT will be donating its 2024 runners’ slots to The Starr Trust.

The half marathon will be a special day for Nick Poyner as he is also a dedicated runner, having completed multiple ultra-races.

Everyone at Rubix wishes the runners the best of luck on the day.
