Brighton Half Marathon – Youth Races – T-Shirt Design Competition
The Sussex Beacon, the charity which organises the Brighton Half Marathon, is giving young people aged 8-16 years the chance to create a design for the Youth Race t-shirt for 2012.
The winning design will be proudly worn by the hundreds of Youth Race runners taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon Youth Races on Sunday 19 February 2012.
The Brighton Half Marathon is in its 22nd year and is one of the longest established and most popular seafront road races in the UK.

How to Enter the Competition
- The closing date for all entries is noon on Monday 14 November 2011. No responsibility will be accepted for late, illegible, incomplete, corrupt, undelivered or lost entries.
- All designs must use no more than two colours.
- Designs should be submitted on the t-shirt template which can be downloaded from the Brighton Half Marathon website or can be sent as a separate file. The design once printed will be a maximum of 30cm across and 34cm in height.
- All entrants must include their full name, age, address and contact number together with up to 50 words to explain what inspired their design. The Theme is “Running by the Sea”.
- Only one entry may be submitted per individual.
- Designs should be sent to Brighton Half Marathon T-Shirt Design Competition, The Sussex Beacon, 10 Bevendean Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 4DE or emailed to competition@brightonhalfmarathon.com
- The winning design will be chosen by the Brighton Half Marathon Race Director and a Panel from the Sussex Beacon. The winner will be notified by telephone and email on Wednesday 16 November 2011. The Panel’s decision is final.
Terms & Conditions
- This competition is open to all those aged 8-16 years of age.
- The winner agrees to publicity and to donate their design for use free of charge.
- All competition entrants will automatically be sent information about the Brighton Half Marathon and Youth Races and will be added to our mailing list.
- There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
- All prizes are not negotiable or transferable, nor will any cash alternative be offered.
